Germany has taken in over 1 million refugees from Ukraine since the start of the Russian invasion in February, according to the German interior ministry. And while a portion of those have traveled on to other European countries or returned home, the influx is still at about 800 a day.
From February 24 to August 21, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 45,200 Russian invaders. In particular, the Ukrainian troops destroyed:
- 1,912 (+5 over past day) Russian tanks
- 4,224 (+12) armored personnel vehicles
- 1,028 (+10) artillery systems
- 266 MLRS
- 141 anti-aircraft systems
- 234 aircraft
- 197 helicopters
- 806 (+3) operational-tactical UAVs
- 190 cruise missiles
- 15 warships/boats
- 3,143 (+6) vehicles and fuel tanks
- 99 (+2) special equipment units
